Nachdem die „Lange Nacht“ im vergangenen Jahr total verregnet war, hatten wir Bedenken für dieses Jahr. Das Wetter fährt ja im Moment auch Achterbahn. Die Angst war unbegründet. Nach dem Aufräumen des Nötigsten und kurzer Verschnaufpause waren wir um halb drei im Bett! Es war also sehr schön wie immer, „alte“ Gartenfreunde und zahlreiche Touristen haben wieder den Weg zu uns gefunden. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Gäste.
Wie heißt es doch – „Wenn es am Schönsten ist soll man aufhören“ – deshalb habe ich beschlossen, dass dieses die letzte „Lange Nacht“ für meinen Garten war. Im kommenden Jahr, werde ich - wenn alles gut geht – zum letzten Mal am Wochenende im Juni 2023 dabei sein. Ich werde dann 75 Jahre und habe dann 20 Jahre beim „Offenen Garten“ mitgemacht.
Wer uns dann noch besuchen möchte, kann das gerne tun, mein Mann und ich würden uns freuen Sie wieder zu sehen.
Auch wenn in diesem Jahr die Dahlien mickern und einige Phlox Meltau haben finde ich meinen Garten toll. „Nobody is perfect“. Es wäre ja auch langweilig wenn alles klappen würde.
Die Dohlen haben wieder das Amselnest ausgeräumt, aber ein Jungvogel ist durchgekommen. Die Eltern wurden bei dem Kampf etwas lädiert, aber langsam wachsen die Federn wieder.
So, das waren die Neuigkeiten – genießen Sie die Sommerzeit und passen Sie auf sich auf.
